Trails, guides & place experiences

Bring a place
to life.

We turn routes, guidebooks and local expertise into trails, guides and audio experiences people can follow in the place itself. For publishers, walking organisations and visitor destinations.

From expertise to experience

Give people more to discover.

A guidebook brought onto the trail. A route catalogue people can explore on foot. A garden with stories at each stop. We connect authored content to the experience of being there.

Trails & guides

Your guides, out in the world.

Turn existing routes, guidebooks and local expertise into something people can follow in the place itself. We bring maps, authored guides, audio and points of interest together, keeping the knowledge and voice of the people who created them.

For publishers, walking organisations and guide authors, from a single walk to a route catalogue. Also for family discovery trails and outdoor learning.

Connected points & signs

A sign that opens up the experience.

Custom signs that welcome, guide and connect visitors to trails, audio and stories. We bring together physical sign design, maps and QR or NFC access, so the experience starts right where they are.

For destinations and routes with physical interpretation, from welcome signs to trail markers.

Seasonal audio experiences

Hear more of the story.

Authored stories and guided moments connected to a route, a location or a season. We design the listening experience to draw attention back outside, with the phone away.

For audio walks, local storytelling and a fresh perspective on familiar paths.

Try a trail

Walk a farm trail from your screen.

Brightwater Farm has eight posts across meadow, brook and woodland. Tap a post on the map, switch between spring and fall stories, listen to a stop and see how staff update it.

Eight posts, two seasons, audio at every stop. Planning your own? Read how to create a self-guided digital trail.

From content to first experience

Start with one route,
one guide or one idea.

We scope the experience with you, then design, build and test it. Your project can include content development, maps, audio, sign design and technical integration.

Before launch, we agree how your team will publish and update content, what support you need and, where physical signs are part of the project, how they will be produced and installed.

Talk about an experience

A few practical questions

Can we use our existing guidebooks, routes and content?

Yes. We can start with your guidebooks, route catalogue, maps, recordings and local knowledge. Together we identify what can be reused, what needs updating and where new content would help.

Do people need to download an app?

A link, QR code or NFC tag can open a browser-based experience. If you need an app or an integration with an existing product, we can scope that with you.

What happens where mobile signal is weak?

We assess connectivity as part of planning. Downloadable audio, printed alternatives and offline features can be included where appropriate; the right approach depends on the site and project.

Who updates the experience after launch?

We agree how your team will manage content and what ongoing support you need before building. Seasonal programs, content updates and technical maintenance can form part of that plan.

Can we start with one route or guide?

Yes. A single route, authored guide or group of stops can help you test the experience with your audience before expanding. We define the scope and costs together.

What would you like people to discover?
